This workshop aims to introduce students to the setup, design and execution of still-life painting. Over the four days students will be guided through a step-by-step process involving accurate drawing and creative placement of objects on the canvas, true to life colour observation and a varying of brush techniques for different textural effects. Composition, color, paint handling, and proper use of materials will all be discussed and explored. Using the direct method ( wet-on-wet ), participants will compose and paint a different small still-life, from start to finish in 6 hours each day.
Previous drawing and painting skills are a plus
