This short course aims to introduce students to the setup, design and execution of still-life painting. Over the weekend students will be guided through a step-by-step process involving accurate drawing and creative placement of objects on the canvas, true to life colour observation and a varying of brush techniques for different textural effects. Composition, color, paint handling, and proper use of materials will all be discussed and explored. Using the direct method ( wet-on-wet ), and indirect method (glazing), participants will compose and paint a small still-life, from start to finish in 10 hours.
Previous drawing and painting skills are a plus

Please bring some objects that are of interest to you, not too complicated for the first day, we will build up to more complicated subject matter on day 2. Fruits and veggies are always good!
