The Portrait Sketch In Oil: July 28 - August 1

Join Barnes Atelier director Travis Seymour and artist Dale Zinkowski on a week masterclass of painting the portrait. The oil portrait sketch course is designed to allow artists to focus more on colour and composition, as well as capturing the likeness of the sitter. A different model will be in pose on each day – for a total of 6 hours, enough to produce a quality oil sketch.

Painting will be done on approximately 10×12 inch canvas to allow students time to complete the small study in oils. Elements of design, anatomical structure and colour will be discussed in detail along with demonstrations throughout.
