What pencils should I use? How do I make my drawing look more accurate? How do I get smooth transitions? How do I stop my drawing looking flat?……….

These questions mark the start of one's journey into becoming a better realist artist - and this course aims to answer as many of those questions as possible. Following the Barnes Atelier Masters Academy curriculum, this ongoing course covers the fundamental skills required in order to produce accurate and realistic drawings. Each student will begin with pencil exercises, before progressing to Bargue plate copies and finally Master copies. The projects are increased in drawing difficulty as the student’s skills become more refined while progressing along at their own pace.

Instructor: Stephanie Mills

**For those students who later would like to join the full-time programme, this work will count towards their studies.
